Clinical Supervision
Are you looking for a curious, compassionate, warm, and knowledgeable supervisor?
I strive to bring each of these aspects into the supervisory space as I have found that they are key ingredients to developing strong working relationships with clients and supervisees alike. The strength of the supervisory relationship can help to support and propel the work we do together.
Whether you are just starting out as a new graduate or are an experienced therapist seeking supervision or consultation, we may be a good fit for ongoing sessions and/or case-by-case consultation. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to talk, ask questions, and get to know each other more. My “door” is always open!
Supervision with Katrina
Supervision is integral to developing professional and clinical skills as a psychotherapist. The goal of supervision is to support you, the supervisee, in developing more confidence as a clinician by expanding your skills, integrating knowledge, and developing expertise in implementing interventions.
My philosophy as supervisor is to create an environment where you can reflect on your practice without fear of judgment and explore what you enjoy, what you find difficult, where you may benefit from further training and guidance, and how to best support yourself and your clients in your clinical work.
I have 5+ years of experience as a Registered Psychotherapist and I operate from an integrative, client/supervisee-centered, anti-oppressive, compassion-focused, and trauma-informed approach. I meet the requirements for clinical supervision set by the College of Registered Psychotherapists (CRPO).
Additional Information
-
I offer both individual (1:1) and dyadic (2:1) supervision models.
Please contact me for requests for dyadic supervision.
-
Much like my client work, I approach supervision from an integrative lens, and I work from a developmental model, which stipulates that supervisory needs change over time as clinicians develop more skills and require different supports.
-
Supervision is a more long-term, consistent, and ongoing relationship where supervisor and supervisee meet to discuss cases and reflect on clinical practice. Supervision is required for Registered Psychotherapists (Qualifying) but is also still beneficial for established/experience clinicians.
Consultation is less consistent in nature and is recommended for more experienced clinicians who are seeking support/consultation on a case-by-case or as needed basis. It can also be useful for clinicians who are seeking specialized supervision in addition to regular ongoing supervision with another supervisor.
